Ariel Paul is a Caribbean filmmaker from St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. A third-year student majoring in secondary teaching in the School of Education and Social Policy (SESP), Ariel believes in the power of stories to expand perspectives. They have directed two short films through a grant from the Multicultural Filmmakers Collective at Northwestern and the Bindley Film Production Award. They enjoy telling nuanced stories relating to salient identities, and Love guides their work. In the Pritzker Pucker Studio Lab, Ariel hopes to create a mental health story that exemplifies the complexities they notice in their communities.
